Science Teacher

Furqaan Academy is looking for highly energetic, enthusiastic candidates passionate about teaching our young children in Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle, and High School departments. New, experienced, and Subject teachers are encouraged to apply.

Requirements:

• U.S. Bachelor’s and/or Master's Degree in education or credits equivalent to
• Certification (Type 4, Type 3, Type 9) is a plus
• Previous Experience working in office
• Mut be able to legally work in the United States of America
• Must be able to pass a local criminal history check, a fingerprint background check

Job Description:

• Knowing, teaching and acting consistently in accordance with philosophy, objectives and policies of the school.
• Teaching and acting in accordance with Islamic doctrine and moral teachings.
• Develop yearly goals, quarterly goals and weekly lesson plans.
• Deliver high-quality instruction using a variety of teaching methods and technologies to accommodate diverse learning styles.
• Evaluate and assess student performance through tests, projects and assessments
• Oversee the use of laboratory equipment and materials, ensuring safety protocols are followed during experiments.
• Coordinate and prepare classes for the annual Science fair ensuring student participation at the regional and state level.
• Administer state standardized tests.
• Establish and maintain a positive classroom environment that encourages respect and discipline by implementing behavior rules.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom to create a conducive learning environment. Encourage students to take responsibility for their own spaces.
• Conferring regularly with parents regarding class updates, student performance, progress and behavior.
