Ms. Samiya is a distinguished leader with a unique and diverse background. She began her career in the healthcare sector and has worked for reputable companies such as CVS pharmacy. She brings a wealth of experience from the corporate world to the field of education that enriches her role as an administrative leader. Her career transition from Pharmacy to education was driven by her passion to make an impact in the Muslim Community and nurture young minds.
Ms. Samiya joined Furqaan Academy after its inception in 2008, showcasing her unwavering dedication to the Academy’s vision and mission. Her commitment to education reflects her contribution to the growth and development of the Academy. Under her guidance, Furqaan Academy has achieved many milestones. Her proactive approach has led Furqaan Academy to achieve state recognition and Accreditation from prestigious organizations such as COGNIA and CISNA. She also collaborated with local public school district and secured free public school buses for the students, making Furqaan Academy the first Islamic School in Illinois to offer free bus transportation!
As the Deputy Executive Director, Ms Samiya is entrusted with overseeing the operations of Furqaan Academy Bolingbrook, Furqaan Academy Online and its Networked Learning Centers, and Furqaan Academy for Exceptional Children. She plays a pivotal role in ensuring the institution’s smooth operation and continued growth, while maintaining the highest standards of excellence.
Ms. Jalali is a distinguished licensed educator specializing in KG-6 and secondary education, driven by a deep passion for teaching, curriculum, and instructional development. She holds a Master’s degree in Education with a focus on curriculum and instruction, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Science with an emphasis on business administration and management from the University of Phoenix. In addition, she is endorsed as a School Counselor, which enhances her ability to effectively support students throughout their educational journeys. Currently, Ms. Jalali is enrolled in a PhD program focused on Strategic Leadership, further advancing her knowledge and skills to positively influence the educational landscape. Her commitment to education transcends the classroom, as she continuously seeks out new and creative approaches to enhance student learning and improve educational practices. Her innovative ideas have garnered recognition from her peers and significantly enriched the educational experiences of many students.
With over twelve years of experience in the education sector, Ms. Jalali has embraced various leadership roles within Islamic educational institutions. She has held positions such as Acting Principal and Assistant Principal, where she successfully introduced innovative strategies to enhance student engagement and implemented best practices for educators in line with Islamic values. Her extensive experience has allowed her to develop a deep expertise in curriculum development and instructional methodologies, ensuring that the educational programs are both effective and reflective of Islamic teachings. Outside of her professional endeavors, Ms. Jalali enjoys a variety of hobbies. She is an avid reader, finding inspiration and solace in literature. Additionally, she has a passion for baking, often delighting her family and friends with her delectable creations. Her keen eye for interior decorating allows her to transform spaces into inviting and aesthetically pleasing environments. Moreover, Ms. Jalali takes time to appreciate the beauty of nature and the blessings bestowed upon her by Allah SWT, finding peace and tranquility in the world around her. Ms Jalali is a dedicated educator who relentlessly strives to provide the highest quality education for her students. Her enthusiasm for curriculum and instruction, combined with her innovative mindset and commitment to excellence, make her an invaluable asset to any educational institution. With her strong leadership skills and extensive experience, she is well-prepared to make a lasting impact in the field of education.
Ms. Zoya joins us with an impressive track record in education, leadership, and community engagement. With extensive experience in designing and leading Deen-centered youth programs, teaching early childhood, and providing inclusive instruction and enrichment opportunities, she is more than prepared to foster a nurturing and empowering atmosphere for our students. Beyond her educational prowess, Ms. Zoya brings exceptional organizational and leadership capabilities, developed through her background in operations, finance, and project management. As she pursues her second degree in Computer Information Science, her commitment to growth in educational leadership shines through. Mrs. Zoya is eager to collaborate with our students, families, and staff to create a school culture grounded in faith, excellence, and community.
Ms. Rasheeda is a distinguished professional with a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, where she achieved an impressive third place ranking statewide, along with an Advanced Diploma in Multimedia. With more than two decades of experience in graphic design and marketing, she has developed compelling videos, animations, and advertising strategies for leading brands while also making significant contributions to print media. As a creative director and strategist, Ms. Rasheeda has successfully led marketing teams through various projects.
In her educational career, she has served as the Head Librarian at a renowned Islamic institution, where she was instrumental in student counseling, curriculum design, and enhancing school operations. She has crafted English curricula and is certified in leadership and productivity by the Franklin Covey Institute.
Ms. Rasheeda is recognized for her exceptional organizational abilities and her composed demeanor, which contribute to the efficient functioning of the school environment. Beyond her professional life, she is passionate about writing, community volunteering, and discovering local nature trails. A certified yogi and dedicated artist, Ms. Rasheeda’s artwork is often featured in community exhibitions, showcasing her vibrant creativity and passion for self-expression.
Ms. Elizabeth Frantz, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional (CIMHP). With over 15 years of experience across community mental health, private practice, and school settings, Ms. Frantz brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to her role. She holds a Master’s Degree in School, Community, and Mental Health Counseling from Saint Xavier University.
Ms. Frantz has a diverse clinical background, providing empathetic and effective therapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups. Her practice is inclusive and culturally competent, with a notable commitment to serving the Muslim community. Throughout her career, she has dedicated herself to supporting youth as a school-based therapist, working with students from Kindergarten through 12th grade. She has helped them navigate a range of challenges, including anxiety and depression, emotional and behavioral regulation, social skills and peer relationships, life transitions, and support for developmental disabilities such as ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Her therapeutic approach emphasizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and empowering clients with practical strategies and a deeper understanding of their mental health. We are thrilled to have Ms. Frantz on board, and we believe her expertise and integrative approach will be invaluable in guiding our students toward emotional and academic success.
TEACHERS
Ms. Nabila holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Science Engineering, graduating in 2022 with the highest rank, showcasing her dedication and commitment to excellence. Ms. Nabila brings a genuine passion for early childhood education and is dedicated to fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for our youngest learners. With her creative approach to teaching, she utilizes patience and engaging hands-on activities to spark curiosity and develop essential foundational skills in our Pre K students. She is committed to collaborating with parents and fellow educators to support the academic, social, and emotional growth of each child.
Ms. Etaf worked as a special education teacher for eight years from Kg through 6th grade in Hayes Elementary school in Iowa. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in elementary education from William Penn University with English as a second language. She also holds a strategy II and LD/MD endorsement from Morningside University and an early childhood with special education endorsement from University of Northern Iowa. This is her fifth year as a teaching Kindergarten at Furqaan Academy.
Ms. Ala holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development from Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago. Ms. Ala has been in the field of education for over 15 years, working closely with children and families to create meaningful and enriching learning experiences. Her passion lies in helping young learners feel supported, confident, and inspired to reach their full potential.
Ms. Ala’s goals are to provide a positive, engaging, and respectful classroom where each student feels valued. She believes that strong communication and collaboration with families are key to a successful school year, Ms. Ala is looking forward to partnering with you every step of the way.
Ms. Wedad, with a Master’s degree in Linguistic Anthropology and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Anthropology from Northern Illinois University, she brings a well-rounded perspective to her teaching practice. Ms. Wedad is passionate about working with young students, employing innovative techniques to enhance their reading and writing skills. Her firm but nurturing approach to classroom behavior fosters a respectful and focused learning environment, where students are encouraged to thrive. Drawing on her extensive experience in student behavioral therapy, she tailors her instructional methods to meet the unique needs of each child, recognizing that every student learns differently. Graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a minor in Pre-Med from the University of Illinois Chicago, Ms. Naila combines her scientific knowledge with a heartfelt passion for nurturing young minds.

Mr. Baracka holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Special Education from Western Governors University. With a profound commitment to shaping young minds and fostering inclusive learning environments, he is an accomplished educator holding the Illinois Professional Educator’s License. He is a certified instructor for grades 1-6 in general studies and specializes in K-12 special education, equipping him with the tools to support a diverse range of learners. Currently, he is in the final semester of his master’s program, on track to become a Certified Behavior Specialist, a role that will enable him to further assist students in navigating their behavioral challenges.
Mr. Baracka believes in the transformative power of education ano is passionate about creating engaging, supportive spaces where every child can thrive. Outside the classroom, he enjoys exploring innovative teaching methods and collaborating with fellow educators to enhance the learning experience. Ms. Yazmin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from Columbia College Chicago and a paraprofessional educator endorsement. She is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Education from Northwestern University, Evanston, further honing her skills to empower her students. Having facilitated engaging art activities at Northwestern University and within the STEAM program, she seamlessly blends creativity with education. Known for her exceptional talent in creative writing workshops, Ms. Yazmin introduces students to innovative reading prompts and exercises that spark their imagination and enhance their literary skills.

Ms. Noor holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) During her time at UIC, she worked as a Learning Assistant for two years, supporting students in developing strong foundational skills in math and building academic confidence. Ms. Noor is passionate about education and plans to pursue her Master’s degree in the near future. She brings a caring and energetic approach to teaching, with a focus on creating a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity and growth. She is excited to begin her journey at Furqaan Academy and looks forward to inspiring her students both academically and spiritually.
Ms. Fauzia is a highly qualified educator with a diverse academic background. She earned her Pharm D from Karachi University in Pakistan and holds a teaching certification from the International Open University. She also completed the Alima program at the Maulana Aziz and Zainab Center, gaining a strong foundation in Islamic studies.
Ms. Fauzia has Ijaza in Hafs and ten Qira’at, certifications in Qur’anic recitation, demonstrating her expertise in this field. She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Islamic Studies to further deepen her knowledge.
With extensive experience teaching at renowned Islamic schools, Ms. Fauzia has made significant contributions to both religious and general education, guiding students in their academic and spiritual growth. Her commitment to lifelong learning and teaching makes her a respected and well-rounded educator.
Mr. Mohammed is an incredibly committed educator in the fields of Robotics and STEAM, boasting over six years of experience. Mr. Mohammed specializes in training and mentorship, where he crafts and delivers captivating programs aimed at kids and young adults. His focus areas include robotics, coding with Arduino, IoT (Internet of Things), and AI (Artificial Intelligence).In addition to his teaching, he’s also skilled in technical project manufacturing. He’s adept at prototyping and constructing functional projects, utilizing both advanced digital fabrication tools like 3D printers and CNC machines, as well as traditional workshop equipment.Mr. Mohammed is also known for his competition training expertise. He prepares teams for prestigious tournaments such as RoboFest, FLL, VEX, MAKE X, and WRO. What sets him apart is his ability to create integrated solutions by effectively combining hardware—like Arduino and various sensors—with software focused on AI and IoT, resulting in interactive and innovative systems that have educational and real-world applications.What truly drives Mr. Mohammed is his passion for empowering the next generation. Mr. William is our passionate Soccer Coach, renowned for his commitment to fostering a love for the game among our students. He runs Southern Soccer of DuPage County, where he has developed a reputation for creating an inclusive and engaging environment that prioritizes skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. With a strong emphasis on teaching fundamental techniques and strategic gameplay, Mr. William inspires young athletes to achieve their personal best while cultivating a sense of camaraderie and mutual respect.
In his role at Furqaan Academy, Mr. William is ensuring that his coaching philosophy aligns with the principles of our school community. He believes in the importance of character development through sports, emphasizing qualities such as integrity, discipline, and compassion both on and off the field. Ms. Sibgha earned her Master’s in Economics in Pakistan. She had been a tutor in Pakistan and volunteered at Fountaindale library. She joined Furqaan Academy as a Teacher’s Assistant in 2019. Her unmatchable dedication, enthusiasm and work ethics make her a valuable asset to the school. As of 2025, she has completed 6 years at Furqaan Academy.
As a Teacher’s Assistant, Ms. Sibgha loves working with our youngest learners, helping them explore, play, and build the foundations for lifelong learning. She helps manage daily routines and assists in guiding hands-on activities, supporting social skills, and encouraging curiosity every day.
QAIS DEPARTMENT
Hafidh Abdullah is a dedicated educator who completed his Alimiyyah degree from Darrul Quran Wa Sunnah after completing his hifdh. His academic journey includes attendance at several prestigious institutions, such as IIE, Darus Salam, and Darul Qasim, which have significantly shaped his approach to Islamic education. With seven years of teaching experience, Hafidh Abdullah excels in imparting Quranic knowledge to elementary and middle school students, fostering a deep understanding and appreciation of Islamic teachings. He employs a student-centered teaching philosophy that encourages active participation and critical thinking among his students. His ability to create relatable and engaging lessons helps to instill a love for the Quran and its teachings, ensuring that his students develop both knowledge and a strong moral compass.
Ms. Majeda is a passionate and dedicated teaching professional with a strong commitment to fostering a love for learning, she has a proven track record of implementing creative and engaging learning activities that inspire her students to reach their highest potential. Ms. Majeda holds a Master of Arts in Quranic Sciences and a Doctor of Social Work from the Islamic University of Minnesota, equipping her with a rich understanding of both academic and social-emotional development. Imam Faisal brings a wealth of experience as a Full-Time Hifdh Instructor for boys. Previously, he served as Imam at the Islamic Center of Broward, specializing in teaching full-time Hifdh, Quran Tajweed, and Islamic Fiqh. He also taught Islamic Studies at the Islamic School of Miami, focusing on guiding students to appreciate the beauty and wisdom of Islam. With extensive research in Islamic Jurisprudence and a compassionate teaching approach, Imam Faisal is dedicated to fostering a profound understanding of Islamic values and principles among his students.
Beyond imparting knowledge, Imam Faisal dedicates himself to character building, guiding students to develop integrity, empathy, and resilience. Recognizing the importance of spiritual well-being, He offers counseling and support, helping students navigate their personal challenges with compassion and wisdom. His helpful nature extends throughout the school, as he actively engages with students, parents, and staff alike, fostering a sense of belonging and community spirit. Through his unwavering commitment and genuine care, Imam Faisal creates a nurturing environment where every individual can thrive both academically and Islamically.
Ms. Gihan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law and an Illinois Teaching Certificate, which showcases her strong academic background ano professional qualifications. Her passion for teaching the Quran led her to transition into High school and full-time Hifdh teaching at Furqaan Academy. Over the years, she has made a significant impact on her students, with 12+ Huffadh graduating under her guidance. Her dedication and experience make her a valuable member of the faculty, contributing both academically and spiritually to the school community.

Ms. Sumayya Ghaznavi is a highly qualified educator who completed her Alimah degree from Zaynab Academy in Karachi, Pakistan. She further enhanced her expertise by earning a Tajweed Certification from Jamila Ashrafia in Lahore, demonstrating her deep commitment to the proper recitation and teaching of the Quran.
Her professional skills include a strong knowledge of Islamic sciences and a thorough understanding of Islamic Tarbiyah and behavior management, making her well-equipped to nurture young students both academically and spiritually. She brings passion, patience, and pedagogical insight to her role as a Quran instructor.

She earned her Pharm D from Karachi University in Pakistan and holds a teaching certification from the International Open University. She also completed the Alima program at the Maulana Aziz and Zainab Center, gaining a strong foundation in Islamic studies.
Ms. Fauzia has Ijaza in Hafs and ten Qira’at, certifications in Qur’anic recitation, demonstrating her expertise in this field. She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Islamic Studies to further deepen her knowledge.
With extensive experience teaching at renowned Islamic schools, Ms. Fauzia has made significant contributions to both religious and general education, guiding students in their academic and spiritual growth. Ms. Nawar brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role as the Arabic Teacher for grades 6 and up. With a Master’s degree in Linguistics and Arabic Language from the University of Jordan, she is an accomplished educator with over 15 years of experience in teaching, curriculum development, and translation. Ms. Nawar is adept in both in-class and distance learning methodologies, allowing her to effectively reach diverse learners and adapt her instruction to meet their unique needs. Over the past 4 years, she has taught Qa’dah/Qur’an and Islamic Studies at several educational institutions, sharing her expertise and passion for Islamic education.

Ms. Shama has a Master’s degree in Islamic Education and has completed the Tajweed Course from Pakistan. She has experience teaching Islamic studies to middle school and high school girls. With her background she is well equipped to provide valuable assistance to both students and teachers.
Ms. Fatima completed her degree in Commerce in Lahore, Pakistan. She taught middle school students in Lahore, before moving to the United States.
She recognizes the importance of patience, kindness, and flexibility in the early childhood classroom. Her calm demeanor and commitment to fostering a safe and welcoming atmosphere help our young learners feel comfortable and ready to explore.
Ms. Sibgha earned her Master’s in Economics in Pakistan. She had been a tutor in Pakistan and volunteered at Fountaindale library. She joined Furqaan Academy as a Teacher’s Assistant in 2019. Her unmatchable dedication, enthusiasm and work ethics make her a valuable asset to the school. This school year marks her 5th year at Furqaan Academy.
Ms. Aisha recently joined Furqaan Academy in the role of teacher assistant following her tenure at Madison Elementary School. Through her previous experience, she has demonstrated a steadfast dedication to supporting both students and teachers in their pursuit of educational excellence.
Ms. Salma completed her Bachelors in Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science from Osmania University. She taught elementary grades in some prestigious schools in India before moving to the United States. Her empathetic nature creates a supportive classroom environment for our young students.
Niveen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism with a minor in Political Science from Birzeit University in Palestine. Her creative approach to learning activities ensures that each day is filled with discovery and excitement.
