Ms. Samiya Zamani (Deputy Executive Director)

Ms. Samiya is a distinguished leader with a unique and diverse background. She began her career in the healthcare sector and has worked for reputable companies such as CVS pharmacy. She brings a wealth of experience from the corporate world to the field of education that enriches her role as an administrative leader. Her career transition from Pharmacy to education was driven by her passion to make an impact in the Muslim Community and nurture young minds.

Ms. Samiya joined Furqaan Academy after its inception in 2008, showcasing her unwavering dedication to the Academy’s vision and mission. Her commitment to education reflects her contribution to the growth and development of the Academy. Under her guidance, Furqaan Academy has achieved many milestones. Her proactive approach has led Furqaan Academy to achieve state recognition and Accreditation from prestigious organizations such as COGNIA and CISNA. She also collaborated with local public school district and secured free public school buses for the students, making Furqaan Academy the first Islamic School in Illinois to offer free bus transportation!

As the Deputy Executive Director, Ms Samiya is entrusted with overseeing the operations of Furqaan Academy Bolingbrook, Furqaan Academy Online and its Networked Learning Centers, and Furqaan Academy for Exceptional Children. She plays a pivotal role in ensuring the institution’s smooth operation and continued growth, while maintaining the highest standards of excellence.

Ms. Nazia Jalali (Principal)

Ms. Nazia is a highly accomplished educator with a passion for teaching, curriculum and instructions . She holds a Masters degree in Education, specializing in curriculum and instruction, and a Bachelor’s degree in Science with a concentration in business administration and management from the University of Phoenix. Additionally, she is endorsed as a School Counselor, further enhancing her ability to support students in their educational journey.With over twelve years of experience in the field of education, Ms. Nazia has held various leadership roles. She served as the Acting Principal and Assistant Principal for five years at ICCD Academy, where she successfully implemented innovative ideas for student learning and best practices for teachers. Prior to that, she spent seven years at Guidance Educational Academy, where she honed her skills in curriculum development and instructional strategies.

Ms. Nazia’s dedication to education extends beyond the classroom. She is constantly seeking new and creative ways to enhance student learning and improve educational practices. Her ability to come up with innovative ideas has earned her recognition among her peers and has positively impacted the educational experience of countless students.

Outside of her professional life, Ms. Nazia enjoys indulging in her hobbies. She is an avid reader, finding solace and inspiration in the pages of books. She also has a passion for baking, delighting her family and friends with her delicious creations. Additionally, she has a keen eye for interior decorating, transforming spaces into beautiful and inviting environments. Ms. Nazia also takes the time to appreciate nature and the blessings bestowed upon her by Allah SWT, finding peace and tranquility in the beauty of the world around her.

Ms. Nazia is a dedicated educator, constantly striving to provide the best possible education for her students. Her passion for curriculum and instruction, coupled with her innovative ideas and commitment to excellence, make her a valuable asset to any educational institution. With her strong leadership skills and extensive experience, she is poised to make a lasting impact on the field of education.

Ms. Reem Abugdairi (Administrator)

Ms. Reem brings her passion of education to Furqaan Academy as the new Administrator. Ms. Reem has been working with students in educational settings for the past fourteen years in Indiana, Florida, and now Illinois. Over the course of her career, she has served ages three to eighteen, as well as facilitating brain development classes to promote language learning for new parents. She completed her Bachelors from Indiana University South Bend, while serving as an AmeriCorps Member for four years at the Robinson Community Learning Center of the University of Notre Dame, to provide educational services to the community. She is continuing her studies as she currently pursues her Masters in Education.

Ms. Reem has held multiple roles in leadership at previous schools, including All Subjects Grade Lead, Summer Program Coordinator, and Co-Athletic Director. Some of her projects included organizing and executing trainings to staff and teachers regarding policies and best practices, as well as curriculum and instruction. Her biggest career passion lies in the art of Curriculum Design for Engaged Learners.

Ms. Reem plans to provide excellent service to the families of Furqaan Academy while working alongside our teachers and staff, as each student navigates a balanced educational experience of deen and academia.

Ms. Luli Vedziovski (Administrator)

Ms. Vedziovski is a dedicated professional with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, specializing in Human Resource Management. With a decade of experience in corporate management, Ms. Vedziovski has honed her skills in leadership, organizational development, and employee engagement. She now brings her extensive knowledge and expertise to Furqaan Academy, where she is committed to fostering a positive and productive environment for both staff and our  students.
Outside of her professional responsibilities, Ms. Vedziovski is passionate about personal growth and continuous learning. She enjoys reading a variety of genres, exploring self-improvement strategies, and traveling to new destinations. Her diverse interests and experiences not only enrich her personal life but also enhance her ability to contribute meaningfully to the Furqaan community.

Ms. Ayesha Haque, LSW (School Counselor)

Ms. Haque is a dedicated school counselor,  holding a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Pre-Law from SUNY College at Old Westbury, earned in May 2014. She furthered her education by obtaining a Master’s in Social Work from Stony Brook University in May 2019. As a licensed social worker (LSW), Ms. Haque is equipped to provide essential mental health support and social-emotional learning to students, helping them navigate personal and academic challenges.
In her role as a school counselor, Ms. Haque collaborates closely with teachers, staff, and families to foster a nurturing and supportive environment for all students. She is committed to empowering students through empathy and active listening, ensuring they have access to the resources and guidance necessary for their growth and success. Ms. Haque’s expertise as a licensed social worker allows her to address the diverse needs of students, promoting their overall well-being and development within the school community.

Mr. Jason Williams, LPC (Clinical Mental Health Counseling)

Mr. Jason is an LPC candidate dedicated to supporting adolescents and young adults facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and family issues. With a strong foundation in clinical mental health counseling, Mr. Jason earned his master’s degree from DePaul University and holds a bachelor’s degree in clinical psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. 

Utilizing evidence-based interventions, Mr. Jason primarily employs Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which emphasizes values, strengths, and mindfulness. He approaches each client with a multicultural lens, ensuring that he fully understands and empathizes with their unique needs. Mr. Jason is committed to helping students navigate their struggles and discover ways to live meaningful lives. Known for his warm, encouraging, and open-minded demeanor, he is a great listener who strives to create a safe and supportive environment for all individuals he works with.

Ms. Noora Mamo (Pre-School Lead Teacher)

Ms. Noora is highly regarded for her exceptional patience and unwavering dedication to nurturing the minds of young learners. With a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, she possesses a deep understanding of child development and the cognitive, emotional, and social needs of preschool-aged children. This academic foundation enables her to create a supportive and enriching learning environment that fosters curiosity and exploration. Known for her playful personality, Ms. Noora brings joy and enthusiasm to the classroom, making learning a delightful experience for her students. She employs a variety of engaging teaching methods, including hands-on activities, interactive storytelling, and creative play, to captivate her students’ attention and encourage active participation. Her ability to infuse fun into educational activities not only enhances the students’ learning experience but also helps them develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ms. Noora believes in the importance of building strong relationships with her students, creating a safe and nurturing atmosphere where each child feels valued and confident.

Ms. Amena Tomaleh (Pre-Kindergarten Lead Teacher)

Ms. Amena brings a dynamic and engaging approach to the Prekindergarten program, characterized by her emphasis on playful, hands-on activities that stimulate young minds. Having completed her Early Childhood Certification in 2023, she possesses over six years of teaching experience, which she leverages to enrich our early childhood curriculum with her extensive knowledge and infectious enthusiasm. Ms. Amena is dedicated to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment, which is fundamental to the holistic development of our youngest learners. She employs innovative teaching strategies that cater to diverse learning styles, ensuring that each child feels valued and encouraged to explore their potential. Her passion for early childhood education is evident in her commitment to creating a safe and engaging atmosphere where children can thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.

Ms. Farhana Begum (Pre-School Teacher Assistant)

Ms. Farhana exemplifies a calm and structured presence in our preschool setting, creating an environment conducive to learning and exploration. Currently enrolled in the Adult Learning and Development program at the College of DuPage, she possesses extensive teaching experience that reflects her unwavering dedication to education. As a mother of five, three of whom are currently pursuing higher education, Ms. Farhana brings a wealth of personal insight into the learning process and the importance of education. She skillfully combines friendliness, humility, and assertiveness in her teaching methodology, instilling essential life skills in her students while creating a supportive and nurturing environment. Her commitment to fostering a love for learning among preschoolers is visible in her interactions, where she encourages curiosity and resilience, laying a strong foundation for their future educational journeys.

Ms. Shaista Shabbir (Pre-Kindergarten Teacher Assistant)

Ms. Shaista holds a Master’s in Education from the University of Karachi, Pakistan. With over five years of multitasking experience in education, she exemplifies strong leadership abilities and maintains Islamic etiquette and manners. Ms. Shaista plays a crucial role in organizing and operating daily operations for children, creating a high-quality learning environment that fosters social, emotional, physical, and intellectual competence. She is skilled at managing multiple projects while ensuring a secure and enriched environment that promotes holistic development.

Ms. Etaf Elkhatib (Kindergarten Lead Teacher)

Ms. Etaf worked as a special education teacher for eight years from Kg through 6th grade in Hayes Elementary school in Iowa. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in elementary education from William Penn University with English as a second language. She also holds a strategy II and LD/MD endorsement from Morningside University and an early childhood with special education endorsement from University of Northern Iowa. This is her fourth year as a teaching Kindergarten at Furqaan Academy.

Ms. Fatima Waheed (Kindergarten Teacher Assistant)

Ms. Fatima completed her degree in Commerce in Lahore, Pakistan. She taught middle school students in Lahore, before moving to the United States.

She recognizes the importance of patience, kindness, and flexibility in the early childhood classroom. Her calm demeanor and commitment to fostering a safe and welcoming atmosphere help our young learners feel comfortable and ready to explore.

Ms. Saida Steele (Grade 1 Lead Teacher)

Ms. Saida is an accomplished educator who holds a Master of Arts in Reading from Concordia University Chicago, where she achieved an impressive 4.00 GPA, and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Lewis University, graduating summa cum laude. With her extensive expertise in literacy instruction, Ms. Saida has previously served as a Title I Reading Specialist, where she provided essential reading intervention services to students in need. Her role involved closely monitoring student progress and implementing data-driven strategies to ensure a seamless transition for those receiving interventions. Ms. Saida is deeply committed to fostering a love for reading among her students, employing engaging and evidence-based instructional techniques that cater to diverse learning styles. She believes in creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where each student feels valued and empowered to reach their literacy goals. Through her passion for teaching and her dedication to student success, Ms. Saida inspires her first graders to develop strong foundational skills that will serve them well throughout their educational journeys.

Ms. Aisha Anwar (Grade 1 Teacher Assistant)

Ms. Aisha is a highly motivated educator with a profound passion for child development and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. As an invaluable support in the classroom, she ensures that every child has the opportunity to excel academically and emotionally. Her calm demeanor and nurturing approach enable her to connect effectively with curious and motivated learners, fostering an environment where children feel encouraged to explore and engage in their educational journey. Ms. Aisha employs various teaching strategies to address the diverse needs of her students, ensuring that each child feels supported and empowered to reach their full potential. Her dedication to student success and well-being is evident in her interactions, as she strives to inspire a love of learning that will last a lifetime.

Ms. Shama Bano (Grade 1 Quran Instructor and Grade 4 Teacher Assistant)

Ms. Shama holds a Master’s degree in Islamic Education and has completed a Tajweed Course in Pakistan, specializing in the proper recitation of the Qur’an. She has experience teaching Islamic studies to middle and high school girls, where she effectively simplifies complex concepts for her students.

With her academic background and hands-on teaching experience, Ms. Shama is well-equipped to support both students and teachers, providing valuable guidance in Islamic education and effective teaching methods. She joined the Academy

Ms. Majeda Arman (Grade 2A Lead Teacher)

Ms. Majeda is a passionate and dedicated teaching professional with a strong commitment to fostering a love for learning, she has a proven track record of implementing creative and engaging learning activities that inspire her students to reach their highest potential. Ms. Majeda holds a Master of Arts in Quranic Sciences and a Doctor of Social Work from the Islamic University of Minnesota, equipping her with a rich understanding of both academic and social-emotional development. In her classroom, Ms. Majeda employs innovative teaching strategies that cater to diverse learning styles, ensuring that each student is actively engaged in the learning process. She incorporates a variety of hands-on activities, collaborative projects, and interactive lessons that not only align with curriculum standards but also make learning enjoyable and meaningful. Her approach encourages critical thinking and problem-solving skills, helping students develop a strong foundation for future academic success. Ms. Majeda is particularly adept at integrating Quranic teachings and Islamic values into her lessons, creating a holistic educational experience that nurtures both the mind and the spirit. She believes in the importance of instilling strong moral character and ethical principles in her students, guiding them to be compassionate and responsible individuals within their community.

Ms. Danya Eassa (Grade 2A Teacher Assistant)

Ms. Danya is a licensed substitute teacher in Will County. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and has prior experience as a Registered Behavioral Therapist, where she worked with individuals on the Autism spectrum, implementing Applied Behavior Analysis in both clinical and educational settings. Additionally, Ms. Danya has served as a substitute teacher and teacher’s aide in Homer Glen’s elementary schools. Currently, she is enrolled at Maryam Institute, pursuing her Alimah degree by the Grace of Allah. Motivated by her desire to impart Islamic knowledge to the community’s youth and to enhance her own understanding, she embraces her dual role as both student and teacher, recognizing that the pursuit of knowledge is an ongoing journey.

Ms. Wedad Ayesh (Grade 2B Lead Teacher)

Ms. Wedad, with a Master’s degree in Linguistic Anthropology and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Anthropology from Northern Illinois University, she brings a well-rounded perspective to her teaching practice. Ms. Wedad is passionate about working with young students, employing innovative techniques to enhance their reading and writing skills. Her firm but nurturing approach to classroom behavior fosters a respectful and focused learning environment, where students are encouraged to thrive. Drawing on her extensive experience in student behavioral therapy, she tailors her instructional methods to meet the unique needs of each child, recognizing that every student learns differently. By cultivating a supportive atmosphere that embraces individual learning styles, Ms. Wedad empowers her students to build confidence and develop a lifelong love for literacy and learning.

Ms. Sadia Bushra (Grade 2B Teacher Assistant)

Ms. Sadia plays a crucial role in supporting the lead teacher and enhancing the overall student learning experience. Her strong organizational skills and proactive approach contribute significantly to creating an effective classroom environment that promotes academic success. With a Master’s degree in Philosophy in Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Arts in Education, Ms. Sadia brings a wealth of knowledge and theoretical understanding to her role. Her previous experience with CPSA has further refined her skills in catering to diverse student needs, making her an invaluable asset to the Furqaan community. Ms. Sadia’s passion for positively impacting students’ lives is evident in her commitment to fostering a supportive atmosphere where each student is encouraged to reach their full potential. Ms. Yasmina Herrejon (Grade 3 Lead Teacher)

Ms. Yasmina holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Translation, complemented by a minor in Italian, which reflects her deep passion for languages and cultural exchange. Her diverse teaching experience spans summer camps in Italy and refugee camps in Palestine, where she dedicated two years to teaching with Amideast, enriching her understanding of multicultural education. This extensive background enables her to approach language instruction with sensitivity and insight, recognizing the unique challenges and strengths of her students. Ms. Yasmina is particularly enthusiastic about creating a supportive environment where students can thrive academically and personally as they grow in their Muslim identities. She believes that fostering a love for languages not only enhances communication skills but also promotes empathy and understanding among diverse cultures. By integrating her passion for child development into her teaching practice, Ms. Yasmina inspires her students to explore their linguistic abilities while instilling values of respect, curiosity, and lifelong learning.

Ms. Amira Dhahbi (Grade 3 Teacher Assistant)

Ms. Amira, widely recognized for her nurturing demeanor that fosters a safe and supportive learning environment for all students. With a genuine passion for education, she finds immense joy in witnessing the growth and development of her students, celebrating their achievements both big and small. Ms. Amira employs a variety of engaging activities and instructional strategies to ensure that every student is actively involved in the learning process, catering to different learning styles and abilities. Her meticulous organization of the classroom not only enhances the overall learning experience but also instills a sense of responsibility and respect among her students. Ms. Fathima Abdallah Shaik (Grade 4 Co-Teacher)

Ms. Fathima is a dedicated teacher who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Furqaan Academy. She has effectively collaborated with her colleagues to develop long-term plans tailored for struggling students, ensuring that each child receives the support they need to thrive academically. By designing innovative and interactive activities, Ms. Fathima enhances student engagement and fosters a dynamic learning environment where participation and enthusiasm are paramount. Her instructional expertise in core subjects empowers students to grasp complex concepts with confidence. With both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Ms. Fathima integrates technology into her lessons, preparing students for a rapidly evolving digital landscape. Prior to joining our team, she taught at Al-Amal School in Minnesota, where she honed her skills in creating inclusive and effective learning experiences. Ms. Fathima is committed to nurturing a supportive classroom atmosphere, where each student feels valued and inspired to reach their full potential, making her an integral part of our educational community.

Ms. Baraka Cirincione (Grades 4 & 5 Lead Teacher)

Baraka Cirincione is a Bolingbrook native whose bachelor’s degree is in Elementary and Special Education from Western Governors University. His teaching philosophy advocates for learning by doing as he believes that students learn best when theory follows practice. Currently, he is in the process of obtaining his licensure in special education from Illinois State Board of Education.

Ms. Sibgha Naqvi (Grade 5 Teacher Assistant)

Ms. Sibgha earned her Master’s in Economics in Pakistan. She had been a tutor in Pakistan and volunteered at Fountaindale library. She joined Furqaan Academy as a Teacher’s Assistant in 2019. Her unmatchable dedication, enthusiasm and work ethics make her a valuable asset to the school. This school year marks her 5th year at Furqaan Academy.

Ms. Nadia Rayan (Elementary Arabic Instructor)

Ms. Rayan has been an integral part of Furqaan Academy since its establishment, contributing her passion and expertise to the school’s mission. This year, she has been invited to implement her skills by teaching Arabic language classes to elementary students, where her innovative teaching methods and enthusiasm for the language have captivated young learners. 
Ms. Rayan is deeply loved and respected by the community, staff, and students alike. Her dedication to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment has earned her a special place in the hearts of the students and the Furqaan Academy Board of Directors. With her commitment to education and her ability to inspire, Ms. Rayan continues to play a vital role in shaping the future of her students and enriching the Furqaan Academy community.

Ms. Fatima Ala (Grade 6/7 English Language Arts/Social Studies Lead Instructor)

Ms. Ala is a dynamic educator who brings her passion for teaching and community service to Furqaan Academy as the Grade 6/7 ELA and Social Studies Teacher. As a Pre-Medical graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Benedictine University, she possesses a unique blend of academic knowledge and practical experience that informs her teaching approach. Ms. Fatima has dedicated herself to empowering youth through various organizations, where she has excelled in instruction, mentorship, and community engagement. Her strong leadership and critical thinking skills enable her to create a stimulating learning environment that encourages students to think analytically and engage deeply with the material. Ms. Fatima is particularly committed to making a meaningful impact within the Muslim community, instilling values of compassion, respect, and social responsibility in her students. By fostering a classroom culture that celebrates diversity and encourages open dialogue, she inspires her students to become informed and active members of their community, ready to contribute positively to the world around them.

Shaista Nazia (Grade 6/7 Science Instructor)

Ms. Shaista is a passionate Grade 6/7 Science Instructor, dedicated to fostering a love of learning in her students. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science from Benedictine University, where she developed a strong foundation in scientific principles and health education. Ms. Shaista completed her high school education at CPSA, where she was inspired to become a teacher and serve the Muslim community, igniting her commitment to education and mentorship.
With extensive classroom and mentorship experience, Ms. Shaista focuses on the growth and development of her students, ensuring that each child receives the support they need to thrive. She is skilled in adapting curriculum to meet diverse learning styles and needs, creating an inclusive environment that promotes curiosity and critical thinking. Ms. Shaista’s dedication to her students and her passion for science make her a valuable asset to Furqaan Academy, where she continues to inspire the next generation of learners.

Ms. Umairah Fateen (Grades 7-8 and HS Math)

Ms. Fateen earned her Bachelors of Arts in Mathematics from Governors State University. Upon recommendations from her professor, she went on to pursue a Masters Degree in Mathematics. She is dedicated to helping students alleviate the fear of Math and strives to make it a fun learning experience.

Ms. Fauzia Ahmed (Grades 8-12 Science Teacher, MS and HS Girls Islamic Studies Instructor)

Ms. Fauzia is a highly qualified educator with a diverse academic background. She earned her Pharm D from Karachi University in Pakistan and holds a teaching certification from the International Open University. She also completed the Alima program at the Maulana Aziz and Zainab Center, gaining a strong foundation in Islamic studies.

Ms. Fauzia has Ijaza in Hafs and ten Qira’at, certifications in Qur’anic recitation, demonstrating her expertise in this field. She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Islamic Studies to further deepen her knowledge.

With extensive experience teaching at renowned Islamic schools, Ms. Fauzia has made significant contributions to both religious and general education, guiding students in their academic and spiritual growth. Her commitment to lifelong learning and teaching makes her a respected and well-rounded educator.

Ms. Melina Fotiou (Grade 8 and HS English and Social Studies Instructor)

Prior to beginning her journey as an educator, Ms. Melina attended The Knox School Preparatory College where she developed her love for the arts and Literature. This was followed by attending the prestigious American Dramatic Academy in New York City where alongside the “Arts” she acquired knowledge regarding American Standard Dialects and Diction, which helped provide tools that she later used to assist students with speech impediments, delays, and most importantly reading. Thereafter, she earned a double Bachelors in English Language Arts and Social Sciences, with concentrations in Education and Psychology. Following this she embarked on her educational journey teaching and assisting others in developing lesson plans, strategic education goals, and quality instruction to help students and fellow teachers develop a love for learning English Literature and Language. Ms. Melina also holds qualifications that have allowed her to practice Disability Law for many years which aids in helping individuals with special needs get the assistance they require. Her work is rooted in the belief that a good and effective teacher can help set the foundations needed for young minds to achieve and develop work ethic that will aid them in great success in many factors of their lives.

Ms. Nawar Hattab (MS and HS Arabic Instructor)

Ms. Nawar brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role as the Arabic Teacher for grades 6 and up. With a Master’s degree in Linguistics and Arabic Language from the University of Jordan, she is an accomplished educator with over 15 years of experience in teaching, curriculum development, and translation. Ms. Nawar is adept in both in-class and distance learning methodologies, allowing her to effectively reach diverse learners and adapt her instruction to meet their unique needs. Her specialized expertise in teaching Arabic as a second language on an individual basis enables her to provide personalized attention and tailored lessons that foster language acquisition and cultural understanding. Passionate about instilling a love for the Arabic language and its rich heritage, Ms. Nawar employs engaging and interactive teaching strategies that encourage students to actively participate and communicate in Arabic. She is committed to creating a dynamic and supportive classroom environment where students feel confident to explore their linguistic abilities and develop a deeper appreciation for the Arabic language and culture.

Ms. Asma Khan (Elementary Islamic Studies Instructor)

Ms. Asma completed the ‘Ālimiyya program from Darul Uloom Al Madania in New York , specializing in Arabic and various Islamic sciences, providing her with a strong foundation in both classical and contemporary Islamic knowledge. Over the past 4 years, she has taught Qa’dah/Qur’an and Islamic Studies at several educational institutions, sharing her expertise and passion for Islamic education. Mrs. Asma’s experience makes her well-equipped to teach students both the foundational and advanced aspects of Islamic studies.

Qari Osama Rayan (Grades 8-12 Boys Alim Program Instructor)

Qari Osama is an esteemed Islamic scholar with profound expertise in Islamic Theology, Jurisprudence, and Spirituality. He completed the rigorous seven-year ālimiyyah certification program at the Darussalam Takmil Institute, demonstrating exceptional critical thinking skills and a remarkable ability to apply his knowledge in practical contexts that benefit the community. Qari Osama is not only committed to academic excellence but also to the spiritual and ethical development of his students. His accomplishments include obtaining Ijaza in Quran Memorization and Ijaza in Quran Recitation with Tajweed in all Sab’ah and A’shara Sughra. Currently, he is engaged in research for his Alimiyyah dissertation, focusing on the autobiography of Shaykh Ahmad Mabad, a distinguished Egyptian scholar. This work aims to detail the journey of Shaykh Ahmad, highlighting his evolution into one of the world’s most respected Islamic authorities. Through his teaching, Qari Osama aspires to inspire a new generation of scholars who will carry forward the rich traditions of Islamic knowledge.

Mr. William Curtis (Soccer Coach)


Mr. William is our passionate Soccer Coach, renowned for his commitment to fostering a love for the game among our students. He runs Southern Soccer of DuPage County, where he has developed a reputation for creating an inclusive and engaging environment that prioritizes skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. With a strong emphasis on teaching fundamental techniques and strategic gameplay, Mr. William inspires young athletes to achieve their personal best while cultivating a sense of camaraderie and mutual respect.
In his role at Furqaan Academy, Mr. William is ensuring that his coaching philosophy aligns with the principles of our school community. He believes in the importance of character development through sports, emphasizing qualities such as integrity, discipline, and compassion both on and off the field. By instilling these values in his players, he not only prepares them for success in soccer but also helps them grow as responsible and ethical individuals.

Hafidh Abdullah Asif (Grades 3-7 Boys Quran Instructor)

Hafidh Abdullah is a dedicated educator who completed his Alimiyyah degree from Darrul Quran Wa Sunnah after completing his hifdh. His academic journey includes attendance at several prestigious institutions, such as IIE, Darus Salam, and Darul Qasim, which have significantly shaped his approach to Islamic education. With seven years of teaching experience, Hafidh Abdullah excels in imparting Quranic knowledge to elementary and middle school students, fostering a deep understanding and appreciation of Islamic teachings. He employs a student-centered teaching philosophy that encourages active participation and critical thinking among his students. His ability to create relatable and engaging lessons helps to instill a love for the Quran and its teachings, ensuring that his students develop both knowledge and a strong moral compass.

Ms. Manar Aboudan (Grades 3-7 Girls Quran Instructor)

Ms. Manar has dedicated her efforts to nurturing a love for the sacred text. A graduate of the University of Aleppo in Syria with a degree in Accounting, she has seamlessly transitioned her analytical skills into the realm of Islamic education. With a deep commitment to teaching, Ms. Manar derives immense satisfaction from guiding her students in the correct recitation of the Qur’an, ensuring that they not only master the words but also appreciate the beauty and meanings behind them. Her extensive studies in Tajweed, complemented by her participation in numerous workshops, have equipped her with a profound understanding of the intricacies of Tajweed and Makharij, allowing her to impart this knowledge with clarity and passion. This academic year marks her eleventh year of dedicated teaching at Furqaan, where her nurturing approach and expertise have positively impacted the lives of countless students. Ms. Manar’s enthusiasm for teaching the Qur’an inspires her students to develop a strong spiritual connection with their faith, fostering a sense of confidence and reverence as they recite and internalize the teachings of Islam.

Imam Faisal Fatani (Full-Time Boys Hifdh Instructor)

Imam Faisal brings a wealth of experience as a Full-Time Hifdh Instructor for boys. Previously, he served as Imam at the Islamic Center of Broward, specializing in teaching full-time Hifdh, Quran Tajweed, and Islamic Fiqh. He also taught Islamic Studies at the Islamic School of Miami, focusing on guiding students to appreciate the beauty and wisdom of Islam. With extensive research in Islamic Jurisprudence and a compassionate teaching approach, Imam Faisal is dedicated to fostering a profound understanding of Islamic values and principles among his students.

Ms. Gihan Musa (Full-Time Girls Hifdh Instructor)

Ms. Gihan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law and an Illinois Teaching Certificate, which showcases her strong academic background and professional qualifications. Her passion for teaching the Qur’an led her to transition into full-time Hifdh teaching at Furqaan Academy. Over the years, she has made a significant impact on her students, with 12 girls graduating from the Hifdh Program under her guidance. Ms. Gihan’s dedication and experience make her a valuable member of the faculty, contributing both academically and spiritually to the school community.

Ms. Shama

Ms. Shama has a Master’s degree in Islamic Education and has completed the Tajweed Course from Pakistan. She has experience teaching Islamic studies to middle school and high school girls.  With her background she is well equipped to provide valuable assistance to both students and teachers.

Ms. Fatima

Ms. Fatima completed her degree in Commerce in Lahore, Pakistan. She taught middle school students in Lahore, before moving to the United States. 

She recognizes the importance of patience, kindness, and flexibility in the early childhood classroom. Her calm demeanor and commitment to fostering a safe and welcoming atmosphere help our young learners feel comfortable and ready to explore.

Ms. Sibgha

Ms. Sibgha earned her Master’s in Economics in Pakistan. She had been a tutor in Pakistan and volunteered at Fountaindale library. She joined Furqaan Academy as a Teacher’s Assistant in 2019. Her unmatchable dedication, enthusiasm and work ethics make her a valuable asset to the school. This school year marks her 5th year at Furqaan Academy. 

 

Ms. Aisha

Ms. Aisha recently joined Furqaan Academy in the role of teacher assistant following her tenure at Madison Elementary School. Through her previous experience, she has demonstrated a steadfast dedication to supporting both students and teachers in their pursuit of educational excellence.

Ms. Salma

Ms. Salma completed her Bachelors in Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science from Osmania University. She taught elementary grades in some prestigious schools in India before moving to the United States. Her empathetic nature creates a supportive classroom environment for our young students.

Ms. Niveen

Niveen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism with a minor in Political Science from Birzeit University in Palestine. Her creative approach to learning activities ensures that each day is filled with discovery and excitement.
