  • Ms. Nazia has a Bachelor’s degree in Science with a concentration in Business Administration and Management. She also has a Master’s degree in Education with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix in Arizona and is currently working on her endorsement as a School counselor. Ms. Nazia has previously served as an Assistant Principal at ICCD Academy for 5 years and at Guidance Educational Academy for 7 years. With her experience, we are confident that she will be a great asset to our school.

  • Ms. Huma Hasnain came to us in the year 2016, as a teacher with 25+ years of experience as an educator, including 12 years spent at Orange Crescent School in Garden Grove, CA; one of the pioneers in Islamic education in the US.  Ms. Huma has a Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry from Karachi University, and a post-graduate diploma in Education from Strathclyde University, Scotland.  In addition to these achievements, she has an undying passion for teaching. Her love for students is evident in her everyday interactions with them. She has a love for Islam, and immense respect for the patrons and parents of the Furqaan community.

  • Ms. Karima graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from Cairo University. She taught as an Arabic and Quran teacher at Mecca Center and Al- Siddiq Weekend school for 5 years. This year marks her 5th year at Furqaan Academy as a preschool lead teacher and Level 2 Arabic teacher.

  • Ms. Etaf worked as a special education teacher for eight years from KG through 6th grade in Hayes Elementary school in Iowa. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in elementary education from William Penn University with English as a second language. She also holds a strategy II and LD/MD endorsement from Morningside University and an early childhood with special education endorsement from University of Northern Iowa. This is her second year teaching at Furqaan Academy.

  • Ms. Rayan has a Bachelor’s degree in Science and Education from Egypt. She joined Furqaan Academy in 2008 as Kindergarten Arabic, Islamic Studies and Quran teacher. Prior to joining Furqaan Academy, Ms. Rayan had 14 years of experience teaching various subjects to KG through Grade 8 students. Currently, she teaches Arabic, Islamic Studies and Quran to Kindergarten, Level 1 Arabic and Islamic studies to Grade 1. This is her 15th year teaching at Furqaan Academy.

  • Ms. Mahek currently teaches Grade 1 and 2 English Language Arts and Social Studies. This is her first year teaching at Furqaan Academy, however, she has been part of this school since her journey here in the Full Time Hifdh program. After completing Hifdh in 2013 from Furqaan Academy, she earned her degree in Early Childhood Education from University of Phoenix. She also holds an Illinois Teaching License.

  • Ms. Naila earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She also completed her Pre-Med there. Moreover, she studied for 3 years of the Alima Course at Mufti Nawal ul Rahman’s Madrasa in Chicago. Ms. Naila has taught and ICC Elementary School in Chicago and Head Start Program. This is her first year teaching at Furqaan Academy.

  • Ms. Hind joined the Furqaan Academy family this year! She is a Florida University graduate from the College of Education. She finds passion in teaching and interacting with our future leaders. She has been working in the teaching field for the last 10 years in different positions. Her teaching philosophy is all about creating a level of trust between the teacher and the students. It also focuses on making learning fun and achievable.

  • Ms. Fariha completed  her Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry. She has over 7 years of teaching experience in elementary schools. She believes in maximizing individual student performance and inspiring student’s interest in science and religion.This is her third year teaching at Furqaan Academy.

  • Ms. Jameel graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a Masters degree in Education. She is a certified teacher in IL. This will be her fourth year teaching at Furqaan Academy. She is currently teaching 4th and 5th grade Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies.

  • Ms. Fateen earned her Bachelors of Arts in Mathematics from Governors State University. Upon recommendations from her professor, she went on to pursue a Masters Degree in Mathematics. She is dedicated to helping students alleviate the fear of Math and strives to make it a fun learning experience. This is her 2nd year teaching middle school and high school Math.

  • Dr. Rohit is the Chief Transformation Officer for Loretto Hospital and is simultaneously a teacher with Furqaan Academy.  Over the past 3 years, he has taught various classes at the high school level in the History and Language Arts departments.  His qualifications include:  Medical Doctorate (MD), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Bachelor of Arts (BA – Psychology), and Lean Six Sigma certification (Performance Improvement).

  • Ms. Fauzia completed Pharm D from Karachi University in Pakistan.She has teaching certification from International Open University. She completed the Alima program from Maulana Aziz and Zainab Center . Moreover, she has Ijaza in Hafs as well as ten Qiraat. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Islamic Studies.

  • Ms. Tahani is currently teaching Arabic to elementary and high school students. She has been working as an Arabic and Quran teacher at various Islamic Schools for the past 5 years. She has also received certification in Tajweed from Jordan.

  • Shaikh Raed memorized the Quran and became a Hafiz at a very young age. He received Ijaza in Jordan and also served as an Imam there. He has worked at IIE, IFS AND ICW as a Hifdh teacher. This is his 5th year at Furqaan Academy. Under his supervision three huffadh have graduated from the Full time Hifdh program.

  • Ms. Manar graduated from the University of Aleppo in Syria as an accountant. She finds comfort  and happiness when she helps students recite the Qur’an correctly. She studied Tajweed and attended many workshops to master Tajweed and Makharij. This is her 6th year teaching at Furqaan Academy.

  • Ms. Gihan has earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Law. She also has an Illinois Teaching Certificate. Her passion to teach the Quran motivated her to become a full time hifdh teacher at our school. Under her supervision, 9 girls graduated from our Hifdh Program. This will be her 9th year teaching at Furqaan Academy.

  • Ms. Shama has a Master’s degree in Islamic Education and has completed the Tajweed Course from Pakistan. She has experience teaching Islamic studies to middle school and high school girls. This is her first year teaching at Furqaan Academy as a Quran teacher Assistant.

  • Ms. Lama has completed her Montessori Education coursework from MT international Academy in Syria. She has also completed Ijaza for Juz amma from Mecca Center in Willowbrook. Ms. Lama previously served as a weekend school teacher at Mecca Center and Carrier’s of light.
